To facilitate as many schools as possible our group booking scheme gives priority to class visits during the academic year.
Teachers should read the following information before requesting an educational visit.
- Access to Kilmainham Gaol is by guided tour only.
- The maximum number per tour is 35 including at least two supervising teachers/adults.
- Due to the high demand for educational visits, we can offer schools a maximum of up to two educational visits per academic year (maximum 66 children and 4 teachers/adults). This is subject to availability. When possible, we will facilitate the two visits on the same day and at the same time.
- School bookings cannot be made using the online booking facility. Schools should email the site directly to request a visit: kilmainhamgaol@opw.ie
- Organisers/teachers should familiarise themselves with the Scheme’s terms and conditions and the Child Safeguarding Policy.
